Day 27. The Valley of Fire. This photo doesn’t do it justice. It was a bit of a drive from Vegas but well worth it. I wouldn’t have enjoyed Vegas nearly as much if we hadnt done the day trips. This was basically like visiting Mars. I need more desert in my life!
Day 26. IPhone cheating. So many dam jokes! The dam was spectacular. Total must-see.

Day 25. From last night. This is the creepy floor on which I’m currently staying.
Im just gonna say it. I’m in Vegas! Surprising sister for her 30th! There are slot machines at the baggage claim carousels in the airport and my hotel smells like an enormous cigarette. Abby tells me we can walk around with beers. I can’t believe this place exists. We’re so exposed to it in Hollywood but the actual being here is so strange. I had this pathetic excitement being shuttled to my hotel that compared to first seeing Rome as I looked at the faux eiffel tower. Vegas!!!
Today Abby and I are driving to the Hoover Dam! Beyond my excitement about the dam, I’m going to be so close to Arizona. Vegas!!!!!

Day 24. Had ze ‘za after a long day. I’m going somewhere really exciting tonight and I can surely announce it on the tumblr but am paranoid, so I’ll have to wait for the big reveal tomorrow!
The birthday boy. Oh so full. We went to Astoria’s new BBQ spot Butcher Bar. Quite yummy.
Day 22. Cozied up with some Lettie Teague wine and Bourdain. Disgusting day today which made coming home to a chee’burger oh so special. Bourdain would be happy with all of the red meat I ate this evening.
