Today I felt a bit like the doughnut here that’s stuck to the top of the box. Thank goodness for work friends who make you feel better and bring you treats. In TV land: Intervention came back tonight. Hilarious because before the episode I declared that I couldn’t believe I used to be so addicted to the show and that I was over it. Then we’d gotten about 40 minutes in, wrapped up in the story of Dallas from Portland whose heroine addiction led her to prostitution. She has the most beautiful blue eyes and her mother is a selfish alcoholic with a nose ring. And suddenly, the cable fails us… and I’m flipping out, cursing Time Warner Cable, getting angry at Linda because the television isn’t working. obsessively flipping between the channels because I’m missing the last minutes of the episode.  I’ve relapsed.
